HARDNESS TESTING SHORE A AND D

                                           HARDNESS SCALE

The shore scleroscope measures hardness in terms of the elasticity of the material. A diamond-tipped hammer in a graduated glass tube is allowed to fall from a known height on the specimen to be tested, and the hardness number depends on the height to which the hammer rebounds; the harder the material, the higher the rebound.

Shore hardness is a measure of the resistance of material to indentation by 3 spring-loaded indenter. The higher the number, the greater the resistance.

The hardness testing of plastics is most commonly measured by the Shore (Durometer) test or Rockwell hardness test. Both methods measure the resistance of the plastic toward indentation. Both scales provide an empirical hardness value that doesn't correlate to other properties or fundamental characteristics. Shore Hardness, using either the Shore A or Shore D scale, is the preferred method for rubbers/elastomers and is also commonly used for 'softer' plastics such as polyolefins, fluoropolymers, and vinyls. The Shore A scale is used for 'softer' rubbers while the Shore D scale is used for 'harder' ones. The shore A Hardness is the relative hardness of elastic materials such as rubber or soft plastics can be determined with an instrument called a Shore A durometer. If the indenter completely penetrates the sample, a reading of 0 is obtained, and if no penetration occurs, a reading of 100 results. The reading is dimensionless.

The Shore hardness is measured with an apparatus known as a Durometer and consequently is also known as 'Durometer hardness'. The hardness value is determined by the penetration of the Durometer indenter foot into the sample. Because of the resilience of rubbers and plastics, the hardness reading my change over time - so the indentation time is sometimes reported along with the hardness number. The ASTM test number is ASTM D2240 while the analogous ISO test method is ISO 868.

The results obtained from this test are a useful measure of relative resistance to indentation of various grades of polymers. However, the Shore Durometer hardness test does not serve well as a predictor of other properties such as strength or resistance to scratches, abrasion, or wear, and should not be used alone for product design specifications.

Sand Blasting

Sand blasting is process where a certain media is blasted onto metal parts, which in this case can be just a sheet metal, a tank, a door, or even an entire car. The outer layer of paint, primer and body cement is removed as a result of the specified media cutting its way through, revealing the bare metal on the inside.
Generally, most body parts on classic cars are made of steel; which is an alloy of iron (some classics are made of aluminum; which corrodes very slowly) and most of us classic car enthusiasts out there would agree that restoring a classic with a bad body condition isn’t the best of ideas

Epoxy Painting

Epoxy Enamel is a high performance two-pack epoxy resin based paint cured by polyamide activator. It has excellent protection against fresh and salt water, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and resistant to crude and heavy oils.

Enamel Paint

Enamel paint is a paint that air dries to a hard, usually glossy, finish. In reality, most commercially-available enamel paints are significantly softer than either vitreous enamel or stoved synthetic resins.
Some enamel paints have been made by adding varnish to oil-based paint.
Typically the term "enamel paint" is used to describe oil-based covering products, usually with a significant amount of gloss in them, however recently many latex or water-based paints have adopted the term as well. The term today means "hard surfaced paint" and usually is in reference to paint brands of higher quality, floor coatings of a high gloss finish, or spray paints.

Fabrication & Erections

Most of the work needed to produce a steel structure for a building is undertaken offsite in the steelwork contractor’s fabrication factory. There the steel sections and plates from the rolling mills are cut, drilled and welded to make the steel components that are then delivered to the project site. The fabrication process is controlled using a computer model of the structure that generates electronic data

for automatic machines and detailed fabrication drawings for assembly and welding. At the site the steelwork contractor uses cranes and access equipment to undertake the erection of these fabricated beams, columns, bracings etc. The structure has to be plumbed, lined and levelled to meet the specification before the frame is ready for handover to the general contractor

Metal False Ceiling

We are recognized for manufacturing galvanized / aluminum metal false ceiling system at economical prices. Over the years, we have executed several large projects including public / government / private sectors. Our range of ceiling includes:
• Linear Ceiling System: 84R, 84C, 184C, 150F & 200F
• Wide Panel System: 600mm x 600mm tile, 1200mm x 600mm tile, 1264mm x 254mm plank, 1600mm x 1800mm plank.
• Lay in tile: 600mm plank & exposed T grid systems.

TAR Felting

Tar paper is a heavy-duty paper used in construction. Tar paper is made by impregnating paper with tar, producing a waterproof material useful for roof construction. Roofing felt, one common type of tar paper, is a glass fiber or polyester fleece impregnated with bituminous material (tar, asphaltic bitumen); it is produced in roll form. In some cases mineral material (e.g. sand) is applied on one side to help prevent the material from sticking together while in roll form and to provide protection from atmospheric conditions. A distinction is drawn between tarred board and bitumen board.

FRP LINING

FRP Lining

The FRP Lining that we do has gained huge appreciation in the industries for the host of qualitative vendors. The entire range of FRP Lining is done using premium grade plastics and fibers that are procured from certified venders offer through specifications that can further be customized as specified by the clients. Our range of FRP Lining includes Tank Lining, Epoxy lining and chemical resistance Lining. FRP Lining are used for storing chemicals and liquids in numerous industries such as electro plastic, powder coating, chemical storage in chemical reaction and others
